North2South was born to bridge the divide between cultures and narratives, uniting Northern and Southern Ghana, “Global North” with the “Global South”, North America with South America, etc … through cultural and musical exchange.
After successfully launching the North2South Hip Hop and Afrobeats Music Festival in the Ghanaian cities of Accra and Bolgatanga, Dr. Pushkin brings the festival to the United States. The SXSW 2023 Alumnus, named an “Essential SXSW 2023 Act” by the Austin Chronicle, is partnering with the Austin Collective Underground Voices to host the festival, which boasts a lineup that includes Ghanaian legend Quata Budukusu, Ghanaian rising star KooKusi, as well as American artists Spacegoonz, Ative, The Boy, Wyldthang, and Aggie backed by The CashBandit Family… From Accra to Bolga, Laredo, Atlanta, Houston and beyond, they represent a tapestry of backgrounds and perspectives, united by a common language of beats, rhythm, and bars.
